    In the following, the Gas Grid Group AISBL (in the following: ”we”) informs you in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) about the way and background of the processing of your personal data via the website „https://gas-grid-group.eu.“. Furthermore, we inform you about your rights as a data subject with regard to the processing of personal data in this context.

    Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

    1. Processing of personal data while visiting the website

    1.1 Browsing data

    Each time the website is accessed, the following personal data is processed automatically:

    • Browser type and version used
    • Operating system of the user
    • Date and time of access
    • IP address
    • Websites from which the user’s system accesses our website (referrer)
    • Websites that are accessed by the user’s system via our website
    • Name of the retrieved file and amount of data transferred
    • Message as to whether the retrieval was successful (HTTP status code)

    (hereinafter: “browser data”). The processing of browser data is technically necessary and is in our interest to display our website properly and to ensure stability and security. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

    We store the browser data in so-called server log files for the purpose and in our interest of clarifying acts of abuse or fraud for the duration required for the aforementioned security purposes. Browser data whose further storage is required for evidence purposes is excluded from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

    The hosting of our website and thus also the processing of the above personal data is carried out by our external host provider kyberio GmbH, Am Mittelfelde 29, 30519 Hannover, Germany, with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 para. 3 GDPR.

    1.2 Statistical analysis of our website

    This website uses the open source web analysis plugin WP Statistics, for the purpose and in our interest of counting visitors of our website. No cookies are stored on your computer for these evaluations; instead, they are carried out using browser data, whereby your IP address is shortened (for IPv4 addresses removal of the last octet of the address, for IPv6 addresses removal of the last 80 bits). This makes it impossible to identify you personally. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

    1.3 Contact form

    When you contact us via the contact form on the website we process the following personal data:

    • your name
    • your e-mail-address
    • your message
    • your browser data

    Your personal data entered in the form on our website may be automatically transmitted to us by e-mail and stored on our server. We process the data solely for the purpose of processing and responding to your inquiry or getting in touch with you. The data will be deleted after the final response, unless there are legal or other retention obligations. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

    2. Rights of data subjects

    You have the following rights under the GDPR with regard to your personal data:

    • Right of access,
    • Right to rectification,
    • Right to erasure,
    • Right to restriction of processing,
    • Right to data portability.

    If we process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), you can object to the processing by contacting us (e.g. by telephone, see the contact details above under point 1). The cases in which we base the processing on our legitimate interest can be found in this privacy policy.

    If you exercise your right to object, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of your objection, we will examine the situation and either discontinue or adapt the data processing or point out to you our compelling legitimate grounds on the basis of which we will continue the processing.

    You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data.
